Thursday night I drove out to Gilbert to see my godson Sammy and his little brother AJ in their “Fall Variety Show” (very PC). I also saw Sam, Angie and Christopher (dad, mom and the youngest of the bunch). When was the last time you sang Somewhere over the Rainbow?
On my way home I was listening to Darude a DJ from Finland. The lyrics were tearing at me, I wrote them down but can’t find the post-it now, something about “letting it go”. Then I get this text from Myrissa, yeah she is only six but I guess she can text with her moms help.
How did she know that being told goodnight is one of my favorite things and this is almost word for word what my mom use to say to me?Driving, texting and proofing at once is something I have recently mastered. Throw crying in to the mix and I am lucky I didn’t get pulled over or crash and probably missed at least one speeding camera.
Friday I spent with three of my four favorite nephews trick-or-treating, saw Nana & Tata and kicked it with Rick & Suzie. A few years ago these two wanted nothing to do with Halloween, this year Suzie and I were thinking they don't even need us to go with them anymore. Too bad that won't happen!
There is nothing more important than friends and family. Slow down & ENJOY life!
